- Gustav Mahler Music Weeks: At the beginning of the 20th Century, Gustav Mahler spent some of his summer holidays in Dobbiaco/Toblach and composed a number of important pieces in this region. In memory of this great musician, the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks have taken place on an annual basis since 1981. This is a sophisticated and internationally renowned music event. - At the end of June / beginning of July, South Tyrol presents the South Tyrol Jazz Festival Alto Adige. For ten days, a varied programme gives you the possibility to listen to internationally renowned jazz musicians and singers. The events take place all over South Tyrol. - A number of years ago, the Giro d’Italia discovered the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz….. and keeps coming back to this place.
- Specialities from the kitchen and cellar: The Mitterolang park is the venue for the ‘Weinleben’ (Life & Wine) and ’Gaumenfreuden’ (Culinary Delights) events. During July and August, traditional Puster Valey specialities can be enjoyed at the Valdaora Olang gourmet event.
- In Terento/Terenten, farming culture can be enjoyed throughout the year …..from the sowing season in Spring to the harvest time and the mill festival in Summer, as well as the Alpine cattle drive and the farming kitchen in Autumn.
