Valdaora/ Olang in the heart of the Puster Valley

Embedded in the green pastures of the Puster Valley, at the
foot of the Plan de Corones/ Kronplatz mountain, the village of Valdaora/ Olang is situated at an altitude of 1,050 metres above sea level and offers magnificent views of the wonderful
Dolomite mountains. Due to its central location, the seven valleys of the Puster Valley and numerous excursion destinations can be reached easily by car or public transport.

- By car Brenner motorway A22. Take the Bressanone/Brixen Nord exit and drive in the direction of Brunico/Bruneck / Puster Valley. Pass the villages of Vandoies/Vintl, Chienes/Kiens, S. Lorenzo/St. Lorenzen, Brunico/Bruneck and Perca/Percha. After 35 km, you will arrive in Valdaora/ Olang.
- Coming from the East via Lienz – Innichen or during the summer, across the Staller Saddle, you also can reach the Puster Valley Road. Click www.provinz.bz.it/vmz/report/index_d.asp?Type+2 in order to get an update. Coming from Venice and Treviso, the A27 leads you towards Belluno and following that, the SS51 to Cadore, Cortina and Dobbiaco/Toblach. Via the Puster Valley road SS49 you will find Valdaora /Olang. Coming from Triest (Friuli Venezia Giulia region) you can choose the route via the A23 until you come to the Carnia-Tolmezzo exit, via the SS52 to Auronzo di Cadore and via the Passo Monte Croce/Kreuzberg Pass to Sesto/Sexten, S. Candido/Innichen and Dobbiaco/Toblach. The Puster Valley road SS49 will then lead you to Valdaora/Olang.
- By train Using the Brenner railway, you can reach Franzensfeste/Fortezza from the south as well as from the north. From there, you can take local trains to Valdaora/Olang. If you prefer to travel without your luggage, you can get all the necessary information from Insam Express Koffertransport! (luggage transport). Once you’ve arrived, you can avail of the Museummobil card, which offers you cost-effective travel on local transport and gives you free entry to a number of museums.
- By bus Rauch-Reisen have a daily service from Munich to South Tyrol for only €25 per person. It’ the same price for the return journey! In our region, there are numerous bus lines, which can be used quite cheaply if you have the Mobilcard South Tyrol at hand! The Museummobil card allows you to visit 80 museums in the region free of charge.
